Ridiculous KJV Bible Corrections:
1 John 5:7 Scams

1 John 5:6-8 KJV 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
This is one of the most hated passages in the Bible by apostates of almost every kind, including Jehovah Witnesses, liberal churches, New Agers, and all other proponents of the Westcott-Hort pseudo-text. I have already dealt with Scofield's blasphemous attack against this verse. Arguments against the verse's validity are spurious and will be dealt with briefly in this article, but I am not going to concentrate on that issue here, although I may do so in a later issue. The theme of this issue is integrity. Let us look at how various modern versions have dealt with this verse and see how much integrity their translators had. Scofield, as apostate as he was, may have at least presented the issue with a modicum of integrity. He presented the whole verse and then used a footnote to tell gullible readers that they should ignore it. In his confused mind, he may have actually believed that his footnote made sense. The NKJV and Amplified Bible are among those who took this approach, but in their cases deception being the motivation is harder to debate. In the case of the NKJV they lied through their teeth by stating that "Only four or five very late manuscripts contain these words in Greek" in a footnote". What can one expect from a version with a witchcraft symbol on its cover? Many of the modern versions chose a different method of attacking the trinity. They did so by trying to hide the fact that the verse is missing in their so called translations. Before we look at some of the chicanery of the new version scam artists, let us briefly look at the accusation that the verse was only found in a margin of a text is false. Michael Maynard summarized a list of manuscripts that did not omit the verse, including: "at least four Old Latin manuscripts, over eight Church Fathers (including Cyprian who died A.D. 258), four Syriac editions, Slavic and Armenian manuscripts, over 600 distinct editions of the Textus Receptus from 1522 to 1881, 18 pre-Lutheran Bibles, and thousands of Vulgate manuscripts. Among Greek manuscripts which do omit this verse, 97% are late manuscripts, dated from the 10th century and later."1 So much for only a very few very late manuscripts. We can see that the verse's omission is based on something other than manuscript evidence. Much more can be said on the issue, but so as not to go beyond a few pages in this issue, I will save it for another time. Let us now look at how some of the popular modern versions have brushed away the verse that offends them so much.
ASV: 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. 7 And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth. 8 For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and the three agree in one.
RSV: 6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with the water only but with the water and the blood. 7 And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth. 8 There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree.
NIV: 6 This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the[1] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
NASB: 6 This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 [1] the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
CEV gives us this baby talk rendering: "6 Water and blood came out from the side of Jesus Christ. It wasn't just water, but water and blood. The Spirit tells about this, because the Spirit is truthful. 7In fact, there are three who tell about it. 8 They are the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and they all agree.
Peterson's Message seems to have translated an apostate commentary rather than a perverted Greek text of 1 John, but what should we expect from this New Age devil.
"... And all the while the Spirit is confirming the truth, the reality of God's presence at Jesus' baptism and crucifixion, bringing those occasions alive for us. A triple testimony: the Spirit, the Baptism, the Crucifixion. And the three in perfect agreement."
This article would be quite huge if I listed all the foreign perversions of the verses, so I'll suffice by presenting the French Louis Segonde.
"C'est lui, Jésus-Christ, qui est venu avec de l'eau et du sang; non avec l'eau seulement, mais avec l'eau et avec le sang; et c'est l'Esprit qui rend témoignage, parce que l'Esprit est la vérité. 7 Car il y en a trois qui rendent témoignage: 8 l'Esprit, l'eau et le sang, et les trois sont d'accord."
As with many foreign translations, the reader need not know French to see that this is deceitful perversion of the text. Just look at how short verse 7 is. All of these versions have omitted verse 7, but tried to trick the reader into not noticing it by redividing verses. Not only that, but they turned the statement that they are one into a statement that they are in agreement. Even the Westcott-Hort psuedo-text says they are one (to en esin), so they are not only liars, but they are very poor translators. Modern version users need to ask themselves why their versions have so much contempt for the trinity, but even if they accept this heresy, they should be asking themselves some questions. Why am I trusting this Bible when it is a fact that the translators intentionally set out to deceive me by this slight of hand concerning 1 John 5:7? Should I assume that if they are willfully deceiving me here, they also are deceiving me elsewhere? Didn't someone once say: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."? If I continue to follow those who have proven themselves to be liars, does this not make me a sucker, or to use biblical terminology, a fool? Why indeed am I using the work of lying homosexuals, homosexual sympathizers, abortion supporters, feminazis, socialists, and Christ denying apostates, and allow them to redefine the Bible for me?
Pr 26:8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
As a practiced slinger, I should comment that tying a stone to a sling would not only be stupid, but it would be exceedingly dangerous.

The preceeding is part of a series of examples of KJV verses that arrogant would-be scholars have tried to correct and showed themselves to be fools. These examples are for the benefit of those who would like more ammunition to defend God's Word against the attacks of the arrogant Bible "correcting" modernists. I hope that some of you find them useful.
