If we would have been able to run a DNA test on the blood of Jesus what would we have found? Would it have proved that Mary was the mother of Jesus? Did the Holy Spirit deposit the fertilized egg in Mary’s womb or did he fertilize Mary’s egg?

I always assumed that the Holy Spirit fertilized one of Mary’s eggs. We have been given the genealogy of both Joseph’s heritage and Mary’s heritage, but is there any DNA of either of them in the blood of Jesus?

There would have to be DNA of Mary's in Jesus - or else He could not be fully human, as one of His two natures.

Luke 1:31 Thou (Mary) shalt conceive (the joining of the seed and egg) in thy womb (where the joining/fertilization took place). Certainly it was Mary's egg that conceived, else she would be only a surigate mother, making Christ NOT her seed (Gen. 3:15).

You dont have to go back a millenia to find evidence of the Catholic church keeping people in bondage through ignorance. A real estate agent that I was dealing with not long ago was paying indulgences to his local priest for a recently dead relative.

I dont think he ever left the Catholic church, but he was amazed to see what the Bible really said about thing like salvation, and forgiveness of sins etc.

Only in the last 12 months, the Catholic Archbishop of Sydney stated that he would refuse "Holy" communion with any state politician who voted in favour of a recent bill concerning stem cell research. In effect he was threatening catholic politicians with the possibility of dying out side of the grace of the church....going to Hell.
