Prayers for Palawan
since the Abu Sayaf were driven from Jolo and other areas of Mindanao they have now regrouped in Bataraza Palawan just about 300 miles south of where we are at. there has been intense fighting with the Government troops. and the tribal group we are helping down there were driven from the land that was set up for them, during the fighting.
Pastor Nick went down to survey his land that was set up for them earlier this year. they found mines and unexploded granades on the property. the government said they will remove them. Luckily none of the tribal people were hurt. this group is very unstable and can easily move to other areas without detection. a muslim school here in Puerto Princesa city had its public permit revoked because the Imam was found with 6 detonators. since then they have restarted the school without a permit under religious freedom. The Gov says, they don't care as long as they are not promoting violence and are not stockpilling arms, munitions and weapons of mass distruction. |

Yourself, your family, your Churches and your brethren are in my prayers daily anyhow Brother, but I shall make them even more fervent as dangers increase around you.
2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. |
