Please pray for my witness
I've already posted this at Cody's site, but I need all the prayer I can get! For several months, after praying about it, I've been posting at the English forum at Pravda.ru, which is a terribly hostile forum, dominated by atheists and Muslims, based in Russia. I'm there as a witness, and I do not recommend it to anybody else. But right now, after several months of constant, obscene abuse, one of the posters is opening up to me. We've exchanged numerous private messages, and, although he's terribly, terribly confused, he seems to be looking for the truth. His name is Harris; his nickname is Horseman. Please, please be in prayer for his salvation. I can't "win" him; only the Holy Spirit can do that. All I can do, by the grace of God, is write the words, and quote the Scriptures (that's where the power is). I need some heavy backup in prayer.
He's not a Communist; he's an American, ex-military, and a divorced grandfather, just like me. Pray for him, please. The situation is complicated by the presence of a real heretic, a self-proclaimed "gnostic," who is also trying to "win" Harris, and is undoubtedly confusing him. And I'm the newcomer; Harris and the gnostic have known each other for a long time. Please pray that the Lord would bind the unclean spirits coming from this twerp, and minimize the damage he does. At that forum, there's a "Religion" section, and I post under the name Tiresias (it's a character from one of my favorite poems). You can read it without registering, but please don't go there if you're under 18: it's a filthy place, as you might imagine. Mostly Jew hatred (boy, they hate Israel! They even think Obama is a "Zionist!") and bad language, although the Mods make everybody "mask" the obscene words, like saying "m*sk" instead of "mask." Still, it's not an edifying place. (However, there's no pornography there. For some reason, to their credit, they have zero tolerance for that stuff, and if anybody tries to post dirty pictures, the Mods report him to the cops. I wish the discussion forums in America were that strict, but they're not.) I need your prayers, brethren. Put this one on your prayer list, if you would. This kind of "web evangelism" can be very difficult, and very unpleasant. In about 10 years of doing it in various forums, I've only seen about four or five people actually saved. But I'm convinced they really [were saved, so it's not a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend this for everybody, but I've been saved, and dealing with pagans, for 39 years, and they don't rattle me. Right now, Pravda is the only place I do this; I have to limit my exposure to these pagans, for my own sake. I'm aware of the dangers. It's kinda like street-preaching in a nightclub district, which I've also done. You don't want to get "comfortable" there. There's at least one other Christian there, named Sammy. He uses new versions, but apart from that, he's solid, and doesn't get sidetracked. Pray for him, too. He goes to a Southern Baptist church in Washington state. I hope to reach him with the King James message, but I'm taking it very slowly, building up trust. Thank you and God bless you! |

I shall certainly pray for your witness Brother, although the internet is a mean place, where feelings cannot be shown with expressions and love cannot be shown as it is intended, but all we can do is USE Gods Word to convict and leave the rest with Him.
God Bless. 2 Corinthians 6:2 ( For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. ) |

What VR is doing really does work. I know it works, I've seen it work, having personally helped at least one person I know of to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and get saved, through this medium.
Personally, I'm also proof that it works, as I was witnessed to on the internet, as well. It played a big part in my accepting Jesus, eight years ago. |

Praying, Brother Vendetta.
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me" ((Acts 26:18). |
