Pace High School grads wear crosses on their caps
Someone that I know has a friend that works as a news photographer for the Pensacola News Journal and he photographed the Pace High School graduation. They have been in the news a lot, due to controversy between the administration, students and the school board. One student complained that the administration were allowing prayer in school and that the administration biased towards Christians. There were a number of Christians who wanted to pray at the high school graduation ceremony. They were forbidden to speak. Somehow, someone snuck in "the Lord's Prayer" at a pre-graduation practice. That is what started all the controversy. The superintendent is himself a Christian but he told the students that he had to abide by the school board rules.
Many of the students, in defiance of the school board, taped white crosses on the tops of their graduation caps... and it was a sea of white crosses that you could see from the back! Also, one of the speakers managed to mention "GOD" a few times, although she was not supposed to, and she was greatly applauded and people there had signs saying "One Nation Under God. Pray for our Schools!" I have a photograph of the students with the white crosses on their caps and the parents in the audience holding up the signs in support of the Christians. I don't think I'm allowed to post it here as an attachment. So, let me know if you would like to see the photo. My friend said that I can share the story and photo it with anyone that I wish to. Here are some links about the story, if you haven't seen: http://www.pnj.com/article/20090531/...319/1166/GRADS http://www.pnj.com:80/article/200905...318/1006/RSS01 http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/top_s...vid_1885.shtml http://www.pnj.com:80/article/200905...11/-1/archives http://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/mobile_ne...public_schools You won't find the photo with the crosses on the caps online, unfortunately. But I am happy to share the photo with anyone who would like to see it. Jassy |

How Sad
How sad America is? Filipinos once looked to them as a savior. They were once a marked of freedom and liberty but now an endangered specie. No longer the same but I'm still happy because there are still remnants who still call the shots. I'm still so happy because I'm still free to post some threads or comments in AV1611 Forums.
Thank you guys and all the American people because our Constitution is based primarily or drafted using your Christian Constitution of free speech and religion adopted by your Founding Presidents from the Danbury Baptist Association. Praise the Lord |
