God's preservation of copied scripture
2 Peter 3:15 & 16: Peter says that Paul's letters are scripture, the same as the already existing Old Testament. This seems to me to be very significant because Peter knew Paul personally, would have been able to read original autographs, and was a writer of inspired scripture himself. Since he equates copied Old Testament manuscripts with original scripture he obviously knows that copies retain their inspired authority. I don't know if Old Testament scripture used at that time had been translated from another language, but it seems likely to me that Moses may have written his originals in a different language.
