That isn't strange. 50% coffee and 50% milk is called a Cafe au Lait and is a French drink that has been around for a long time. Italy, Spain, Poland, Portugal, and other parts of Europe all have a name for "Coffee & Milk". Our son enjoys a decaf cafe au lait on cold mornings.
They sold boiled peanuts at the grocery store in Hawaii and I remember my Mom making them sometimes. I've seen roasted peanuts (we have a lot of those steakhouses with the peanut shells on the floor around here), but no boiled peanuts since we moved and we're pretty southern I think. |
