All good answers. Here's another:
"Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me." (John 21:20-22) Instead of looking at what others are doing, and what men might teach us, we are to follow Him, and Him only. |

Psalms 23:1-2 <<A Psalm of David.>> The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psalms 23:3-4 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:5-6 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. I dwell in the house of the Lord, He is ever with me, I have two good friends with me all the time (Goodness and Mercy). He is my Shepherd, He leads me. I am not sinless, but in a way I am. If we confess our sin He is faithful and just and will forgive us. If we do it every day and better yet as soon as we sin, we are sinless because we are covered. My house is the Lord's and I am in His house, on days that I remember this, I am more careful in what I say, do and even think. In Christ Love, Renee |
