Greetings from Trinidad & Tobago
Greetings from Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean. I am a new member (just joined). I often read some chapters of the Bible from the King James online link on my SonyEricsson internet-enabled phone, and felt it would a good idea to participate in the forums.
I have been a believer since 1972. Since that time I have read through the Bible over 30 times (mainly the KJV). Although I have read other versions a few times, the Spirit always brings me back to the King James Version. It is the only English version I feel comfortable with. Otherwise I do read the Greek New Testament published by the Trinitarian Bible Society (the Greek text underlying the KJV). I saw on one of the forums a discussion on the gap theory and I hope to soon post a new thread that relates to it. It will be entitled 'The earth that was, and is, and is to come' and will be my first post other than this introduction. Yours in Christ. strongmeat |

That's the way it was with me too. I did not have any historical evidence on why I should use the King James as a young Christian, but the Holy Spirit bore witness with my spirit when I read from the KJB. Not being "puffed-up" just honest. Other versions came across as weak, shallow, and not as rich. |
