Is that what you read above? No wonder you're so confused.
Do you know anything about Paul that will "vanish away" or "be done away?" Oh, say, when something perfect shows up? The passage clearly (yes, clearly) speaks of the return of Christ when Paul will see his Lord "face to face." "That which is perfect" has then the dual application (see scripture referenced above) to not only the Lord Jesus Christ, but also to what Paul will benefit from His appearing (v10,12). |
