AMEN Billie AMEN. we not only celebrate his resurrection but that we too are raised in him not just from the effects of sin but for Newness of Life today. He was not just resurrected for our Justification but for us to produce fruit unto Holiness. AMEN? Read Romans Chapter 6

Reminds me of a great old tune... it was in the Nazarene Hymnal (and I think in The Trinity Hymnal)

"UP from the ground He arose..." { Try the Cyber Hymnal and sing along }

Amen! The name of the hymn is "Christ Arose" and it's in any Great Hymns of the Faith hymnal. We sang it yesterday in our church, glory to God.

Low in the grave He lay,
Jesus my Savior,
Waiting the coming day,
Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed,

Jesus my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead,
Jesus my Lord!

Death cannot keep its prey,
Jesus my Savior;
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Default Yup! Christ arose!

Kiwi Christian --- Yes, that is the correct title

... I remembered one of the lines (oops- I said ground- it is grave- ) and thought it was the Title.

There are a couple more at www.cyberhymnal.com ( which is now called Net Hymnal it seems) that are good for Easter Sunday and ascension time...

Charles Wesley had several great tunes. Check out "And can it be" and "Jesus Christ is risen today!" That man (and his brother John) had musical talent AND a good idea of what the Bible says about The Lord.
