Yeah, I remember running into this the other day:
For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. (Isaiah 63:4 KJV)
The context of this may not have anything to do with what I've always considered to be the day of the Lord, but it certainly is interesting. When I think of the day of the Lord, I'm thinking about the end of the Jacob's trouble where the Lord will have vengeance. It will be a very bloody day.
But anywho, understanding context is important. One thing I've learned as I read through the Bible is that I really should read it cover to cover at least a couple dozen times before I even entertain the idea that I know what I'm talking about.
