I heard that GM had a deal worked out for the survival of the Hummer brand, but the government nixed it.
However, stock will probably be on sale this week! If you can afford to lose a couple of hundred dollars, you might make quite a bit of money after they come out of bankruptcy. Assuming they come out of bankruptcy, which I hope they will. |

The company is essentially being stolen from its owners (bondholders, shareholders, etc.). And now the US President is talking about how they "started looking at their books," etc, as if we elect presidents to run private corporations.
This is facism -- the government pretending that companies are "private" while totally controlling them. And billions have been sunk into the company for nothing except to pay off union thugs for getting out the vote, and our kids and their kids will be paying for it for years. For nothing. Rant over. |
