Default I'm New, Here...

Hi!

I just discovered this place, today. I've enjoyed reading the threads, and am looking forward to some discussion once I get 'okayed'.

I'm from NC, and have been saved for almost eight years.

Welcome

Hopefully the posts have been edifying and hopefully you come as a genuine Bible believing Christian, may what you write be a blessing and may you be blessed with what you read.

Welcome, and thanks, now I'm no longer the new guy! I used to work in Shelby and Gastonia NC, anywhere near them. I got smart and moved back to WV now, but my wife's family still lives in Gaffney and Blacksburg SC.

I'm glad you said "sister" Tim, because in another thread, I read that Here Am I (who previous had given no indication of gender ) had reconciled with her partner and He got saved, for a moment alarm bells went off and I thought......well you know. I am laughing at myself now

I'm new here, too. I belong to several other forums, and try to be a witness in the secular ones (that's the only reason I go there); at the other Christian forum, I can relax and fellowship with like-minded believers, which is an indescribable blessing. I was saved at age 19 - - - 39 years ago! Ay caramba! However, I did not become aware of the King James issue until I was about 13 years old in the Lord. Since that time, the Bible has been my closest and most constant companion, after the Comforter Himself.

I hope that my presence here will be mutually edifying.

Welcome also. I pray that you have joined to edify the brethren and not force any strange doctrines upon us (as some have done in recent weeks). May what you read be a blessing and may what you write be a blessing to us.
Who Is that in your avatar, is that yourself? If so you have a resemblance to David Suchet (Poirot)

Thank you for the welcome, brother. It grieves me, however, that, as an Irishman, you didn't recognize Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes!

Actually, I believe in some very strange doctrines. I believe that the only perfect Man in history allowed Himself to be tortured to death so that I, who am among the chiefest of sinners, could be saved. That's pretty strange, but I will praise Him through all eternity for it.

As a newcomer, I'm "grazing" the various threads, seeing what various posters believe, and I don't think you'll find my comments - - - or, at least, my beliefs - - - weird or unseemly at all, although perfect agreement among brethren is one of the joys reserved for Heaven.

I have definite feelings about such "controversial" matters as the Gap Theory and the young earth/old earth argument, but I won't (by the grace of God) visit them upon you just yet. It would be impolite, given my junior status, to plunge deeply into controversy.

Incidentally, my name is Bill. My nickname is a reference to a historical incident involving Wyatt Earp! Anyone who's interested in the Old West can Google "vendetta ride" and find out all about it.

If anyone's interested, I mean. Perhaps I'm the only member of this forum beset by such trivial enthusiasms!

hi~

i know you. an interesting thing to see you here & yet i'm not surprised, for the LORD leads the faithful to where the living waters spring forth. isn't this something? a forum dedicated to the Authorized King James, truly ~ praise to our God & the grace of His Christ.

Hi Bill

OF COURSE I see that now!!! I knew it was a great detective I just picked the wrong one . Isn't it funny how no matter how much we look at something, until someone points out to us what it is, we see it as something entirely different. Much like our LORDS Holy Scriptures

Amen to that strange doctrine!

God Bless
