Has anyone used this?
http://www.godtube.com/virtualbible/
Where it say's Translation,it can be changed to the AKJV. I am not using a home computer and do not have my bible with me,but like to paste actual verses. Is there one better to use? |

There's one bug I see at a quick glance: When you change versions on the select thing it doesn't actually change versions until you click "go."
Personally, I prefer regular HTML pages to flash and such gimics. I use http://crosswire.org/study/passagestudy.jsp?mod=KJV#cv |

Just download E-Sword and other modules.
I got the ASV, the Bishops, the ESV, the CEV, the Geneva, Westcott and Hort's Greek New Testament, TR Greek New Testament, Joseph Smith's Translation (it's hilarious), the KJV w/ Strongs, the KJV in gothic typeface, the NWT, Tyndales, and of course the KJB! They are all useless except the KJB. Good for debating cults though. Joseph Smith's Translation is quite amusing. Genesis 1:1 And it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven and this earth; write the words which I speak. Pure imagination! Actually, I just noticed that Joseph Smith called his translation the "Inspired Translation of the Bible". How come these anti-KJV people don't go to that one. The translator claimed it was inspired! (they are always pointing out how the AV translators said it was just a translation, and never claimed inspiration). Last edited by Luke; 05-15-2008 at 04:49 PM. |

If you don't find the Bishops' Bible, Geneva, and Tyndale useful then you're a loon.

I don't mean the "only" the way you do. I mean translations from the Textus Receptus only. I'm not trying to lock the Bible in one language.
