What you are hearing in Acts two is a narrative of Peter telling them about Christ but not the gospel for the forgiveness of sins by the shed blood of Christ on the cross. Peter never tells them to believe on Christ for the forgiveness of sins. But it is a gospel of the Kingdom to take his place on the throne. He tells them to be baptized for the Remission of sins. they believed but if they didn't get baptized they would not have their sins remitted. He never once told them 1Cor15:3 . . .Christ died for our sins as you claim show in acts 2 where he says, Christ died for our sins.
You can narrate the death burial and resurrection and still come short of telling them the true Gospel for this dispensation that Christ died for our sins. the death burial and resurrection of Peters narrative was to confirm he was their true King the Messiah that they had killed and God had raised as proof it had nothing to do with the forgiveness of sins.
If they had trusted in the Blood of Christ they would have no need to be baptized to receive the Holy Ghost either. I, nor anyone who ever got saved had to be baptized for the remissions of sin or to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. this is were Charismatics get off.
Acts is a transitional book from Kingdom Gospel to the Gospel of Grace, one needs to be careful not to blend the two gospels together which BroP you have done an excellent job in doing.
Oh yeah I guess I wasn't paying too much attention. But please no more, I know your tactics and I don't want to go there with you BroP. I still have my wounds from the Hovind thread.
